About Allison
Allison’s penchant for fashion and jewelry dates back to her childhood when she’d play dress up in her mother’s high heels and diamonds. That passion took her to the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, where she learned the ins and outs of the fashion industry. Upon graduation, she spent six years working at two prestigious fashion brands, Elie Tahari and Burberry.
In 2009, she launched a career as a jewelry concierge where she worked one-on-one with private clients to create custom assortments to build and grow their jewelry wardrobe, as well as provide hassle-free gifting. Through key relationships with vendors, she had access to premier styles at the best prices. In 2017 she leveraged those relationships and eight years of industry experience to establish amarx collection.
As a savvy jewelry curator and industry aficionado with a mission to make fine jewelry accessible and approachable, and a philosophy that asks -- why buy another black shirt when you can buy a new piece of jewelry that can redefine your outfit? -- amarx collection shows clients how to make items wearable beyond special occasions.
In addition to locating the perfect piece to suit an individual client’s preferences, Allison can create a meaningful custom accessory from an existing necklace, ring, bracelet, brooch or pair of earrings.
